A year of building a life together — and we'd love to mark it with the people who made it ours.
Everything you need to plan your visit is below — when and where to be, where to stay, where to eat and drink, and a few of our favorite corners of the city. We'll keep this page updated as details firm up.
We'll reserve a room block at a hotel near the venue with a group rate. Booking link and code to come once the venue is locked.
The subway is the fastest way across town, and cabs and rideshares are everywhere. From the airports, expect 30–60 minutes depending on traffic.
This is where Erica was surprised with both sets of our parents the night we got engaged to celebrate with rooftop cocktails and the Empire State Building lit up behind us. If you have one drink in the city, why not make it here? Tucked behind an unmarked door, the cocktail program is inventive and the rooftop view is the whole show. Whether it's a pre-dinner drink or a nightcap, there are plenty of great dining options close by to make a whole evening of it.
No reservation, no fuss — the kind of great, low-key meal that's perfect with kids in tow or after a long day of travel. Slices, bagels, dumplings, a good burger.

Sit-down spots we love — a proper dinner with a wine list, somewhere you'll want a reservation but won't need to plan your whole trip around.
After walking through the iconic Greenwich Village, fill up at this cozy Israeli spot (with a sister wine bar next door) taking a modern approach to Levantine cuisine
If you're looking for some incredible Indian food — especially after visiting the Tenement Museum in the Lower East Side — this restaurant doesn't disappoint

The special-occasion list — tasting menus and destination dining for anyone making a real night of it in the city. (Reservations necessary)
Enjoy plant-based creations and uncompromisingly perfect service where the family continued the celebration the night we got engaged. If the dining room of EMP is not your speed, check out Clemente Bar located up the back stairs (reservations highly recommended)
Admire the rotating art gallery before stepping through a hidden door to enjoy an intimate chef's counter meal where you get to observe the team deliver bold and delicious dishes. An all-time favorite of Lliam's (with Erica's stamp of high approval)
Watch the show at the chef's counter (our recommendation) or take a seat in the dining room to enjoy a playful menu inspired by Korean hand rolls. An all-time favorite of Erica's (with Lliam's stamp of high approval)
One of our favorite things to do in New York: graze your way through Jackson Heights, Queens — arguably the most diverse few blocks on earth. This is a self-guided loop along Roosevelt Avenue. Go hungry, go slow, and share everything.
Begin at the pedestrian plaza where the trains cross — the buzzing heart of the neighborhood. Get your bearings, grab a chai, and watch the world go by before you eat.
Walk the South Asian stretch of 74th Street and graze on chaat — pani puri, bhel puri, samosas — a few dollars a plate from carts and tiny storefronts. The ideal first bite.
The neighborhood's most beloved Tibetan room. Order momos and a thali, and soak up the atmosphere — there's often live music in the evenings.
Tiny, family-run, and a local favorite for Nepali thali — generous, refillable, and a great value. A few steps from Himalayan Yak.
Cross into Little Latin America for hornado (roast pork) and ceviche. This is the South American counterpoint to the morning's South Asian bites.
Wind down a block off the avenue with a proper espresso and something sweet. A calm, friendly room to rest your feet and plan the next visit.
The city's museums are worth the trip on their own. We're partial to the modern and contemporary collections and the buildings that house them.
The best way to see New York is on foot. Carve out a morning, grab a coffee, and wander — the city rewards it.
Of course. If there's someone you'd like to have by your side — or to help with childcare so you can relax and enjoy the evening — just let us know and we'll make it work.
The old-fashioned way! Invitations will arrive by mail with a reply card enclosed — simply fill it out and send it back to us. We're keeping RSVPs to paper.
Absolutely — this is a kid-friendly celebration. Little ones are warmly welcome, and we'll have dedicated entertainment to keep them happy so the grown-ups can relax and enjoy the evening.
Cocktail attire — dressy but comfortable. We'll update this if the venue calls for anything specific.
We'll set up a hotel room block near the venue with a group rate. Look for the booking link in the Travel section once it's ready. Coming soon
